As many good ideas do, our ‘Heroes of Our Time’ project grew out of a single and simple observation. During GlobalFOCUS’ work at the U.N. Climate Talks in Poznan in 2008 we noticed that many of the people who work to cut emissions were not actually part of the climate change political process. Through our efforts, we had worked with so many action-oriented people with real and actual solutions to the future. Had the international negotiators not consulted them?

In order to remedy this blind spot in the international discussion, we launched ‘Heroes of Our Time’. With this project, we seek to shine a spotlight on the most exciting and impressive climate entrepreneurs and examine their ideas on how to stop global warming.
