Position: GlobalFOCUS Researcher
Overview:
GlobalFOCUS is a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to reducing global carbon dependency and building a better, more sustainable tomorrow. Our projects combine a sophisticated policy analysis with an innovative and results-driven approach. To remain at the forefront of the ongoing climate dialogue, we utilize a constant flow of stories, solutions, innovations, etc. to stay up to date with current research and literature. We will need to secure the resources necessary to accomplish our results. Description:
As a researcher for GlobalFOCUS you will participate in the drive to reduce climate change - assisting in the transformation towards a more sustainable world. This is an intern position (and is therefore unpaid). Yet you will gain practical, high-level research experience, along with an insider’s perspective into a non-profit and environmentally-focused organization, including: fundraising, innovation, policymaking and cleantech.
As a GlobalFOCUS Researcher you will be a core part of the GlobalFOCUS network. A job well done will most likely result in expanded participation in future projects and opportunities. As we are always exploring new ideas for projects, there might also be a chance for you to design your own project in the future.
This position is suited for someone who cannot commit 100% of his or her time or, alternatively, is located outside of Stockholm. The remote nature of the work provides for flexibility in combining the position with other activities or studies.
Qualifications:
Essential:
-Interest in solutions to climate change and related global issues;
-Desire to work with a global team;
-Experience in working with large information flows, with the ability to summarize and present the particulars;
-Deadline punctuality and a history of working within a structured environment;
-Interest in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT);
-Strong English-language communication and writing skills.
Desirable
-Language skills other than English and Swedish.
